An Easter story of faith, inspiration, and courage lived out in the face of disaster_for ages 4-8 Caleb is just ten years old when his Uncle Josh arrives in town to build a new church. Everyone is enthusiastic about the project, contributing money, and offering to help with the building_everyone except Big George, the blacksmith. The town gets busy with the building, but two weeks before Easter, Caleb awakes to see a red glow in the sky in the direction of the church. Lightning has set the church on fire. It's too late to save it. Uncle Josh slips into depression when the church burns down. Then Caleb gets an idea. Everyone in town agrees to go along with his plan_except Big George. On Easter morning, Caleb makes Uncle Josh get out of bed and ready for church. Reluctantly Uncle Josh follows Caleb to the site of the church. Crocus and buttercups are pushing up through the ash. Then Uncle Josh sees the "real church" coming up the hill as people from all over the area arrive for a sunrise Easter service on the very spot where their church building should have stood. The crowning surprise comes when Big George shows up with a very special gift for the new church that he knows will be built on the place they are standing.
